CloudPay is looking for an experienced US Payroll Specialist with strong attention to detail, knowledge of payroll software, and expertise in federal, state, and local payroll regulations. This position requires strong experience within US payroll processes and legislation that includes working knowledge of taxes, reciprocity agreements and local taxation.
The US Payroll Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, in addition to processing payroll following all established statutory requirements and internal processes and will be able to work collaboratively with CloudPay global payroll operations teams.

Daily Duties and Main Responsibilities will include:
- Analyze payroll-related information to ensure accurate distribution of funds and payroll
- Prepares reports, tax filings, correspondence and other written materials (including but not limited to
monthly payroll reports, transmittal memos) as written reference or for compliance with district, state,
national or international statutory requirements - Partner with the Implementation Consultants to ensure successful knowledge transfers are completed
between Project Delivery to Operations - Support the Software Release process by validating that new features have been accurately developed
- Support any parallel runs if testing is needed on a new requirement
- Ability to reconcile pre-processing reports to ensure the accuracy of information before processing payroll
- Research discrepancies in payroll information and/or documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence
to procedures before processing - Maintains payroll information, files and records to provide up-to-date reference and audit trail for
compliance - Assist in the validation of payroll requirements to ensure that sufficient information is provided by the
client to enable the set-up and configuration to be completed successfully
Attributes and Experience Required:
- Good experience in US payroll processing and legislation
- Knowledge of multi-state payroll rules and processing.
- Strong understanding of US payroll laws, taxes, garnishments, and deductions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in both English and Spanish, with the ability to explain payroll details clearly.
- Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially when resolving payroll discrepancies.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to manage deadlines effectively, especially during payroll cycles and year-end processes
- Team player with the ability to share information and interact positively with others
- Accounting and Bookkeeping experience would be an advantage
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or human resources or a related field is preferred.
